I'm Arman. This is where I keep a record of my life.
I was born in Iran, raised in the UK, and now live in Japan. Moving between countries has shaped how I see home, work, identity, and the ordinary routines that make up a life.
I created Armanium to preserve my life as it unfolds: the events, decisions, interests, mistakes, and ordinary days that I might otherwise forget. Its first reader is my future self.
Why keep it public?
Publishing asks me to turn an experience into something I can understand and return to. It also leaves room for another person to recognise something familiar in it. Readers are welcome here as witnesses, but I do not want an imagined audience to decide what my life should look like or how I remember it.
How I write
I write in the first person and edit lightly for clarity. I want to preserve what I knew and felt at the time, including uncertainty, false starts, and questions that do not yet have answers. Not every experience needs to become advice or end with a lesson.
If my understanding changes later, I would rather add a dated note than quietly rewrite the past. The point is not to present a perfectly consistent version of myself. It is to leave an honest trail of how I changed.
What belongs here
This is a deliberately selected public archive, not an automatic copy of my private journals. I may write about places, projects, work, technology, health, travel, and the details of daily life, but publication is always a separate decision. Other people's privacy matters more than completing a story.
You can start with the chronological archive, or simply return later to see where life went next.
